CHARLES A. PFAU
Personal Life:
Charles was born March 10, 1946 in Hillsdale, Michigan. He spent the early years in Hillsdale County attending and graduating from Jonesville High School in 1964. After graduation from high school Charles married Florence Smith. They had two children a daughter Marnie and a son Adam. They have 3 grandchildren. Charles and Florence have celebrated 53 years of marriage as of this writing.
Charles returned to Hillsdale County because this was the place of his birth, the home of his family and his job with Michigan Bell Telephone Company for whom he worked 30 years.
One of Charles fondest memories upon return was the support of his wife, family, friends and the thanks and welcome he received from the community
Military Life:
Charles was drafted, 1966, into the United States Army and underwent training as a wireman. He was sent to Cu Chi Vietnam and served with two Artillery Batteries, 6/77th FA and the 3/13th FA. Charles achieved the rank of Specialist E4.
